Oricon highlights which Korean artists should garner the most attention

2010 has been a year full of Korean artist debuts in Japan. After DBSK’s hiatus and Big Bang’s return to Korea, other Korean artists have flooded the Japanese market with their music. Many artists come to mind when asked which artists have debuted in Japan this past year, but which are the ones to pay attention to?

According to Oricon, whose charts are closely paid attention to because of their reflection of artists’ success in Japan, there are a handful of Korean artists that should be paid attention to. Oricon recently published a page called: “K-Pop groups to pay attention to: Picture Check!”, dedicated to Korean artists that have debuted in Japan in 2010.

The artists featured on the page were:

Girl’s Generation
KARA
Brown Eyed Girls
4Minute
SMASH
ZE:A
The Boss
BEAST

Each artist has their own section on the page including pictures of each member, interviews (if conducted), and what single or album they released to debut in Japan.

Along with the artists’ sections, the page also recaps a series of events in pictures, including:

2010 MAMA
2010 K-Pop Night in Japan
Invincible Youth in Japan
ViVi Night 2010
Girls Award A/W

Visit the Oricon website to see some great photos of the highlighted artists, as well as photos from concert performances by some of Korea’s biggest artists, some which are not featured in the highlight by Oricon but are in the pictures such as f(x), SHINee, Secret and others.
